1 FORMAT
There will be one (1) league, four (4) cup competitions and (1) summer tournament.
Every week either the league or a cup competition will be in progress and once again the outcome of the league, cup competitions and play off matches will decide who qualifies for the summer tournament, with an inviting process confirming the final player list.
The scheduled week dates are subject to change depending upon real fixtures with places during the league season determining who qualifies for each cup at league weeks 5, 10 and 15.
The 2 week Super Cup kicks off the season in August and this is followed by the regular season which includes all 30 league weeks and the other 12 cup weeks which is made up of the League Cup, 4 separate weeks, FA Cup for another 4 separate weeks and The Champions Cup making up the other 4 separate weeks.
The finalists of each cup competition will qualify for the summer tournament with other places being determined by league positions, play offs and invites.
Super Cup Entries - All
League Cup - Top 16 at League Week 5
FA Cup - Top 16 at League Week 10
Champions Cup - Top 16 at League Week 15
All players eligible to play in the FA Cup are seeded based on their league position at Week 10 which could impact winner outcome if points are tied. Likewise with Champions Cup as of Week 15.
Summer Tournament - 8 cup finalists, players who qualify through auto promotion depending upon league place, players who qualify via a league play off and FINALLY all of those players and other lower ranked players who accept an invite.
Other competition players may also be invited to play if qualified players decline or miss invites.
2 ENTRY COST AND PRIZES
We are no longer considering appropriate legislation in order to charge for the competition. Season 1 was free, Season 2 is free, Season 3 will be free and seasons beyond are expected to be free.
Affiliate merchandise and partner links plus sponsorship will therefore cover costs for prizes, additional home delivered trophies, admin costs and Daniel's time.
A trophy will be delivered to the winner of each of the following competitions, or if agreed with the player, a donation of equal value made to charity.
Platinum League Champion
(Note 'The Platinum League' is the new name for PS7's league competition)
Super Cup Winner
League Cup Winner
FA Cup Winner
Champions Cup Winner
Summer Tournament Winner
Prizes will be delivered (either through receipt claim, postal delivery or voucher form) for the top 16 players in the league. Trophies will be delivered by post, subject to location. A virtual Prize Giving is also expected the week commencing Mon 28 Jul 2025, to coincide with a final promotion for Season 3, expected to start the following weekend.
Note first prize in addition to the trophy is expected to be a multi-pack of the champion's favoured beverage. Players finishing 2nd to 16th in the league will also receive a minimal value prize as a token of our appreciation.
3 PLAYER NUMBERS
There will be one league, 'the platinum league', regardless of the number of entries who apply. The competition is open to anyone globally but trophy and prize delivery and entitlement could vary depending upon location.
4 RULES OF PLAY
League - We pick 7 games, you pick 7 game outcomes (1 point for each) and also a score prediction for the featured game of the week (3 bonus points for an exact match).
*Note, for exact scores, a successful part prediction will earn 1.5 points.
For example if game is 2-1 and you predict 2-0, you get 1.5 points for 2-0 and 3 for 2-1.
Cups - Again we pick 7 games, you pick 7 game outcomes (1 point for each) and also a score prediction for the featured game of the round (3 bonus points for an exact match). Matches could be any 7 matches in the world but will mainly be round featured. i.e. a semi final will include actual semi finals. Each player is also drawn a new team for each round and should the points be tied, the player whose drawn team wins, wins. BYES will still apply for non-entries, where the other player enters. If no one enters, players from previous rounds or lower league positions at the qualifying point can progress. For the finals, if neither player submits an entry, the player whose drawn team wins.
Note the revised FA Cup and Champions Cup formats mean there are no BYES in this competition. PS7 will review cases of non-submission on a player by player basis as and when required.
If any player fails to submit a valid entry for 3 successive competition weeks (league and cup) they will receive an official yellow card. This will be recorded at ps7league.com/table. If the same player fails to submit a valid entry for another 3 successive competition weeks, they will receive an official red card. This will result in a 10 points deduction penalty applicable to the competition in which the last non-submission occurred. Corresponding league and cup updates required will be reviewed and the player notified at the time as the penalty could impact the league and cup progress of other players. As all players as of the end of January 2025 have not failed to submit more than 3 weekly submissions in a row, this is reflected in the league table as of now.
Registrations for previously banned players will now be approved although we appreciate their appetite for the game may be lost.
5 SUB LINK
The official sub link form will be available permanently at ps7league.com/sub-link until the end of the season and will be the only place where players can submit their entries every week. Its just one form location this season so if you do miss your email, or Whatsapp, you can just visit this web site and play as usual. Links will always refer you here.
*Note cup competitions from now will use the new ZOHO FORMS. TYPEFORM will be used for the league and Euro Super 7 before being phased out in September.
Players are expected to submit entries on every league week, but for cup competitions, entries are only expected from the qualifying cup players. This section of ps7league.com is no longer password protected but only registered players can compete and submit entries.
Note this no longer applies to the 2025 FA Cup and 2025 Champions Cup
6 REMINDERS
Each player will be subscribed to the official PS7 mailing list and during Season 2, this will be a player only list used for competition purposes only. It is your responsibility at registration to decide which email address to use, but we recommend that you do not use a work email address, so you can get competition updates when on leave and during seasonal periods. As a general rule, the sub-link will always be available in the same location at ps7league.com but the password requirement no longer applies. For those interested in playing, who do not register, they can submit their information to get updates regarding Season 3 once the season begins at ps7league.com/register. This will be available soon.
Note players can now register for Season 3 @ pg8league.com
7 FIXTURES AND SUBMISSIONS
Daniel Prescott and PS7 now solely select fixtures.
Meanwhile, all league weeks will feature league matches only, from a range of leagues, including The Premier League, The EFL Championship, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, La Liga, Serie A and other national leagues and international matches globally, so all games require a prediction of home win, away win or draw with an exact score prediction at the conclusion of full time. Cup weeks could include a combination of league and cup matches depending upon the round.
Note previously it may have been possible that a draw option in a cup competition would result in 0 points. This is no longer the case in cup competitions where the prediction needs to be based on the full time score after 90 minutes plus injury time ; not necessarily after extra time and penalties.
REMOVED FROM RULES - Note that during the season, whilst the sub link form can be used to submit entries for the entire season at once, it is generally not recommended until we've published the fixtures and featured match information.
In the event matches are postponed or abandoned. PS7 will make a case by case decision in regards to how the current round will produce a winner.
The exception is the league where points will be allocated based on the predictions received after the match's rescheduled date.
For some cup competition weeks, the entry deadline may differ from the dates when the games for that week are scheduled to take place. This is simply to ensure that whether the week's competition is league or cup based, that players only have to remember one weekly deadline to get their entries to us.
As usual weekly submissions are due by Friday 6pm UK Time. Each corresponding Friday date is listed at ps7league.com/schedule.
The weekly deadline for Season 3 is being changed to Saturdays 11am UK Time
8 THE BOARD
The Board is now entirely made up of Daniel Prescott and PS7/PG8
We thank previous board members for their contribution to this game.
Please note in circumstances where we need a second opinion, we'll contain a voting section in a weekly sub-link.
9 SUMMER TOURNAMENT
Season 2's Summer Tournament will be based around the Women's UEFA 2025 European Championships (so another Euro Super 7). The competition will have 16 places available, with players being able to qualify through one of the following methods.
Being a finalist in a cup competition.
Via automatic league promotion depending upon place.
Via league play off match depending upon league place.
ALL PLAYERS must accept an invite to play and agree to submit group stage and knock out stage entry submissions.
More information to be released throughout the season.
ps7cup.com will contain more information
10 STEWARDS ENQUIRIES
If you have any stewards enquiries relating to league and cup results and table placings throughout the season, you must submit them, from your registered email address, to ps7league@gmail.com, with the words FAO PS7 Stewards in the title. The Board will review your enquiry within a month and ensure all enquiries are reviewed prior to confirming final table places and cup progress/promotion. This may be a shorter time frame depending upon when next rounds/play offs take place.
11 CUP COMPETITION RULES
Full rules for each cup competition will be released to the qualifying players at least one week before the required entries for the first round are required.
ps7cup.com will contain the majority of information regarding Season 2 cups and tournaments, with the exception of PG8's Easter Trophy, details of which you can find @ pg8league.com
12 LEAGUE TABLE ORDER
Each week, players are awarded 1 point for each correct game prediction, out of 7 predictions and 3 points for matching one featured game full time score.
In the case of a half correct score 1.5 points
The league order is determined as followed...
1) Most points.
2) Most exact score points.
3) Most home wins correctly predicted.
4) Most away wins correctly predicted.
5) Most draws correctly predicted.
(NOTE for 3, 4 and 5 we've added the word 'correctly')
To determine cup qualifiers and final league positions, for those weeks, in the event players are tied on the above criteria, the player to acquire points first gets the place. In the event they both acquired their first points in the same week, then the player who got points for the earlier games gets the place. If still tied, the player with the most submissions gets the place. If still tied, then a play off match between the two players will be arranged. This could include other players if they are also tied on the same basis.
'Week last played' no longer determines league position, as players competing in 28 weeks or less will be red carded and dis-qualified.
